DESCRIPTION
In late autumn 2005 Iridium Satellites LLC launched their new 9601 transceiver (Talladega) for Short Burst Data (SBD) only . This unit is smaller, lighter, draws less power and lower cost than the Daytona 9522 LBT.

| Features |
Talladega 9601 board interfaced to the Helix board for GPS (NMEA) position and data transmissions. TX can be initiated by user input or by on-board timer. Incoming messages to change TX time base. Polling functions included. The unit is mounted in a rugged clear anodised aluminium IP54 housing. |
This unit has the same functions as the 4T - HX but also includes an intelligent Li-ion battery pack. The unit will run continuously for two weeks transmitting the GPS string every hour. |
The 4T - HXBA has all the features of the 4T - HXB but also includes integral Iridium and GPS antennae. |
