 Vessel Monitoring System |
DESCRIPTIONThe unit is based around the 9601 transceiver and Helix version 2 board, engineered here for VMS applications. The rubber moulded, tamper-proof housing encloses the electronics, dual GPS/Iridium antenna and a 4.4 Ah Li-ion back-up battery. The system will run on external (12V) power whilst maintaining full charge on the back-up batteries. On failure of the external power , either accidental or deliberate, the unit will continue to run on the batteries and will send an alert to indicate that the power has failed.
